You’re Fired!

On Saturday, November 7th, 2020, Joe Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 General Election. This victory came after 5 days of an intensely close race, which saw Biden come back from behind in several states to overturn Donald Trump’s sweep of key swing states.

Mere hours after the election was called, thousands descended on DC, not to protest or riot, vandalize or loot, but to march, sing, dance, climb, and come together - celebrating Trump’s loss as much, if not more, than Biden’s win. Americans of all age took part in the celebrations, which were spread throughout the city.

These photos show the many different ways Americans celebrated the presumed end of a tumultuous 4 years under Donald Trump.
